Building the PSU Student Roadmap Tool

Join members from the PSU Dev Team to learn about their journey working with University clients to create the first of its kind: PSU Road Map. The PSU Road Map is an academic planning tool that allows students and advisors to create a term-by-term course plan to degree completion. Students easily place required courses across terms/semesters and academic years planning a path to graduation. This application will help meet academic goals and complete requirements successfully and in the desired timeframe. The degree audit is integrated into the Road Map showing completed and remaining courses for clear planning.
This product was built from scratch working with a team of Academic Affairs clients with very specific needs. You will hear from members of the Dev Team as well as PSU clients about the design, the journey, and the outcome! The presentation will touch on the following topics:
-keeping client vision at the heart of the project
-managing the project
-change management
-the technical development of the Road Map
-and… a short demo the PSU Road Map
The session will be led by PSU’s Si Luc (Software Developer III) and Jeff Burns (Dir of Development and Implementation).
